Our story
From hobby to hybrid
A father and son who got addicted to the hybrid lifestyle, out-tested everyone, and turned late nights in the garage into the highest-performing skiff in the paddle board and kayak world.
We weren’t trying to start a company. We were trying to solve a problem.
My son Austin — “The SUP Angler” — and I dove into motorizing LIVE Watersports boards years ago as hobbyists. I took the bottom end out of my boat one too many times trying to get skinny, and a kayak just wouldn’t do the job. So we set out to build the ultimate way to get on the water affordably.
We wanted more range. More efficiency. More portability. We engineered our own engine-transom mounts, tested props, solved cavitation issues, and fine-tuned balance and performance until it did exactly what we were looking for. Absolutely no one has logged the hours on these setups that we have. Every mount, every rigging decision, every recommendation comes from experience, not theory.
We’ve been all in with LIVE Watersports since 2019 — their tunnel hull was designed by a world-record holder in catamaran boating, and it’s the only fiberglass catamaran paddle board in existence. We pair it with our parts, build every one by hand right here in the USA, and tune you in on the water. These don’t show up in a container off a ship. This isn’t mass production — it’s passion turned performance.
Why I go out there
It’s not really about the fish
It’s like having a canoe on the water that’s tiny with no walls, and you just feel reconnected. It’s peaceful. It’s helped me through some hard times.
A day that’s actually yours
I’ve got five kids, a farm, and businesses. On the family boat I’m managing the trolling motor, baiting hooks and re-tying all day — I’m having fun, but it isn’t a me day. I get on one of these and it’s my day.
Nobody out there
Seven, eight hours back in the creeks and I haven’t seen a boat all day. We get back here when the tide is gone and the fish are trapped, and there’s not a boat in sight. You put in roadside where nobody else can.
Fish optional
Honestly, I don’t care if I catch fish or not. I’ve got my paddle board, I tricked it out, and I have my days to myself. I conquer oyster beds, I conquer the back country, I defy tides — and I get lost away from people.
Who we build for
We will not be a company for one style. Whatever you dream up, we’ll meet those needs — for your region, your water and your budget.
The kayak upgrader
You already fish from a kayak and you’re tired of paddling the distance, sitting low, and wrestling a heavy plastic boat in and out of the truck. This is the upgrade.
The boat owner who wants more
You love your boat for the family, but you’re sick of ramps, fuel, cleaning, insurance and crowds. This is your skinny-water, quick-trip, go-solo second option. (It’s what I run myself.)
The skinny-water angler
You chase redfish, snook, tarpon and more up creeks and across flats where only inches of water separate you from the fish. You want stealth, shallow draft and access boats can’t reach.
The family on the water
Father and son, husband and wife, grandparents and grandkids — everyone gets to do their own thing with their own gear, while still experiencing it all together. Less technology, more outdoors, more freedom.
The dreamer on a budget
You want real on-the-water capability without sinking money into a big boat, a trailer and a tow vehicle. Start simple and grow the rig — at about 88 cents of gas a day.
The LIVE board owner / DIYer
You already love your LIVE board and want to motorize it your way. Grab our hand-built mounts and bottom coating and make it go faster, farther and handle more.
The angler who wants more support
An injury, a bad knee, or you just don’t want to worry about balance out there alone. Our stabilizer system bolts to the plate and takes about ten minutes to fit — my dad runs them, and so does my mom. It’s already hard to flip; these make it bombproof.
The tournament angler
At 65 lbs with a catamaran hull and bottom coating, you get to the grounds before the pack. We’ve got a customer in Arizona winning bass tournaments on speed alone, and another who sold a top-end kayak after trying one.
The hunter
Twelve tracks means a duck blind, a gun rest or whatever else you rig up — and a hull that puts in roadside and runs where the birds are. We’ve got blind systems in development for exactly this.
The working boat
Charters, guides and crews who need several shallow-draft craft that stack. We recently coated a fleet of a dozen for a company doing seagrass restoration, oyster-bed restoration and beach cleanup.
More than a sale
We get you dialed in — and you join the family
Every skiff comes with a free tune-in day: we walk through setup, weight distribution, balance, motor use and safety so you leave confident — and we’ll even break in your motor while we’re out there. Can’t make it in person? We’ll dial you in over the phone.
Then it keeps going. Lifetime coating touch-ups, hand delivery across the country, and owner-only meetups from the Florida Nature Coast to Texas, the Carolinas and beyond — even overseas. Customers turn into friends. That’s the part we love most.
Let’s build yours
Tell us your goals and we’ll set you up. From an idea all the way to time on the water.
