Hey guys, wanted to show y'all — I probably got a little too close, hold on, let me reverse this. Just want to show yall transom mount. This is, this is a transom mount trolling motor on our half inch base. There's a tiny bit of a bend, so if you don't like that bend, to go with a 3/4 base. But simple as this: this is a Walmart battery, $100 battery. So if you want something lighter that you can put up here — if you want something lighter, go with a lithium or a smaller. But I have it back here because it's just too much up here. It like a 60, 70lb battery.
It's as simple as this. If you go with a bow mount, it would be flush to the board. Get a quick release plate for your, for your bow mount motor, so you can just plug it in, plug it out and take it off. And it would Pi up board space, but you would have GPS with it, and it would take up board space. I like the transom mount. I don't need GPS cuz I got the micro pole in the back. But this is simple as it is to deploy. So as we're running, we'll just run it like this, and I have all this deck space underneath still for a cooler. The dog
can run around it, whatever. But when I'm ready to — sorry, the current's starting to really move — when I'm ready to deploy this, whatever length I want it to be in the water, I just reach down, lever, and I'm ready to roll. And then it's just on, up and down, wherever I want to go. Today we just came out of this creek mouth, zoomed all through this creek mouth with our trolling motors. We, we're chasing two snook that we heard popping back there, we end up running over them. So when I'm done, I'm just going to basically lever, crank it up again, and then I can leave
it like that, cuz it, it won't be in the water. Or I could extend it. So, so this is called a transom mount trolling motor. You'll buy the $100 bracket, put it to our plate, front utility plate, with or without Marine Mat, 3/4 in or a/ in starboard, and then you'll just mount it.
