You Can Start Simple with a SUP Customs Skiff: David Explains How

Hey everyone, David, SUP Customs. Out doing some wintertime fishing, and thought I would show you a different setup. We've talked about a lot lately different setups and different ways the fish on the boards, but you usually see us with our six horsepowers and and different things like that. But know, I was talking to an older gentleman last week, and he bought his wife a three and a half horsepower, and she couldn't, at her age, really pull it and the cord. And you know, she didn't really want to fly around, she just wanted to leave the

house and go a couple miles. And he really appreciated the trolling motor video, so I figur I'd give you all a whole setup view of it. So I'm out today, we got four boards on the water, two electric and two gas. And and we don't have four gas engines, so I just took this out again. I'm getting — this is a $100 freshwater tiller trolling motor, but you can get a, a nicer one. I'm just going to see how long this freshwater will last on our plate with a nice battery that'll last all day. Or you can have a bow mount on the front. But when you see us run

throughout the year, please realized that we're fishing all types of stuff. In the summertime we need a running gun for miles and miles, and catch cobia and snook, and the, in the ocean and on the mangrove lines in the ocean. But this time of year we kind of putter around in the back country. I would have liked to go faster today — I went about 3 and a half miles per hour. This is not my thing, but this is kind of chilling, chill chill fishing. We, we put in at my parents house and kind of drove just about 2, 3 miles, 3 and a half miles per hour, and we

got the job done. Again, I would much rather have gotten here faster and cover more ground. But this type of, of fishing this time of year, this is, this is, this is not a bad setup. So you can have just one on the front, bow mount trolling motor, or just one on the back. You can have a $500 one up there with, with a remote, or a $2,300 one up there on a, you know, GPS lock spot. Or just a100 to $400 one on the back with a tiller extended, extender, with a plate that can hold a micro. But remember, our — you can buy two front plates, put one on the back and use that

as a micro pole setup too. So, very unique concept, super simple. Maybe you need to get into a board, start off and then build. But this would not be a bad way to go.
