From Hobby to Hybrid | The SUP Customs Story.
What I cover in this video
- We invented these parts and turned the only catamaran paddle board in the world into a skiff, as a father-and-son hobby.
- People don't realize these aren't molded and they aren't shipped in. They're handmade here in Clearwater, Florida.
- I chose fiberglass as a customer because I can repair it, fix it and resticker it. It's just like a boat.
- I had a Carolina Skiff that I ran in spit, and I regretted some of my decisions.
- A father in Texas just bought his son one for his birthday — something safer than a john boat with a 30 on it.

Hey everyone, David, SUP Customs here at Lift Watersports factory and picking up some customer boards. I'm going to Virginia and Texas and a little bit of everywhere California. So, we're pretty pumped. Some backorder parts boards have been waiting for a while and and different things. Here you see ours if you didn't know it. They're stackable. They they're lay, you know, they're a flat surface. So, even our plates on them are stackable. But anyways, wanted to tell you a little bit about our story. We are Live Water Sports Skiff dealer because we had invented these parts.
Turned this bad boy, the only catamaran paddle board in the world, into a skiff as a hobby, as a father and son, trying to get into unreached places, get away from boat ramps and boers and finding our own spots, you know, and it turned into to a business and well, we're a year and a half old now. So, let me show you the factory. People don't realize these aren't molded. These aren't shipped in. These are handmade here in Clearwater, Florida. So, let's go check it out. All right, here we are. We're in the factory. Handmade, hardworking men and women, Clear Water, Florida.
Made out of fiberglass, gel coated, and I chose that as a customer years ago. One, because I needed something extremely stable. As you know, the suction is hard to flip. I needed the catamaran design because I was into catamaran skiffs anyway. I know I knew the speed, stability, weight distribution, skinniness, all of that stuff. But I like the the fiberglass build because I can repair it, I can fix it, I can resticker it. U, it's just like a boat. So, for years, Austin and me would work on boats and different stuff together.
I had a Carolina skiff that I ran and spit and regretted some of my decisions. So, repairs, all that stuff. So, we came across these. These as a customer was a perfect fit for me because I'm standing most of the day. I'm sitting higher, the whole deal. So, we got a board back here in for repair. Fixing it up, putting some stickers on it. Look at this. You know, this is what I like, too. You're not stuck with five colors here. Gray, white. I mean, you look at the wall, seafoam, whites, and and you name it. So, if you've been looking for something like I did as a customer that now we're SUP Customs, check it check us out, SUP Customs.com.
Get your colors. Get something that performs like no other. Get something that's extremely light. Come out for a test day in Central Florida. Get on one of these and it'll tell you everything. So, check us out. Like I said, SUP Customs.com. Give us a call. I'll walk you through it. Had to pause this video a minute ago because a father in Texas just bought his son like I did for Austin a birthday present. Want to put him on the water. Something safer than a Johnbo with a with a 30 on it. But something he can also use as a paddle board one day and a family adventure craft another you know another full skiff or just trolling motor setup.
So the options here are endless. A lot of people see this blank platform like what can I do with that? And we tell them with 12 tracks stability and performance literally almost anything. Check us out. Would love to talk to you. Thanks.
