Everyone, David, SUP Customs. Just doing a little safety run down plus little trolling motor how it operates. I got the 2.5 horsepower on today. I'm running 8.2 mph. I got a busted up prop. I don't have my micro pole in. But, it's getting me where I need to go pretty easily. We left the boat ramp right there, came out here. I honestly could probably just add a solo trolling motor for this distance. We're about 2 miles from the ramp. But I just like to leave that on the back. So, if I drain the battery, something happens to a wire, I just I don't have to paddle all the way back.
I can just crank up my little 2.5. Using this this dry pocket bag, it's pretty dadgum cool today. Look at that. It's all magnetic. Boom. And it's good for 100 ft. It's just sick. Loving this today. Matt and the Yak brought it. And loving it. Magnetic class. I mean, this is cool. So, puncture proof for the most part. Other than that, wanted to give a run down of how I operate this trolling motor. Let me come to you. Austin's working his. We sell Rhodan's about 2,300. This is a $500 remote control. No GPS here. So anyways, so as I've adjusted my trolling motor, I'm moving stuff around. That's why I don't lock stuff down. Sometimes I'll bring my cooler up and I'll use it as a casting platform. So, I don't I don't lock strap my stuff down. But, anyways, I got my usually have my Dakota box. This is a Lines Energy battery. But what I do up here for safety and every and controlling it remember, if you all number 10 high speed and you have this turn sideways like this, it's going to throw you off. So, a lot of times I'll turn this thing down and run it.
You can see here I'm going to hit on a high speed real quick. All right. And it can throw you off, so be careful there. Whoa. All right. So, make sure when you turn this thing on kind of hit that little button, turn it down, turn it off. Same thing going forward you know, it can throw you back. Be careful. And then when you go up to to maneuver it like I could walk up to the front here you know, I'll bring my shaft up and down so I don't hit rocks or if I'm in deeper water, I'll lower it right here. I can go up here, but I can also just go like this on my knees.
But, I can walk up here with this board stability and I can lock it up just fine. As you can see this board is not going nowhere. Hear you on that side. I can get water halfway on my board. I can fall off and lose my balance but it's not going nowhere. So, once you learn to trust your board you start doing more and more to it. But, that's a little bit of a a trolling motor rundown. Kind of a safety thing. When I'm running with my engine, I throw my yak box up there, keep my rods there. But, in the meantime all my rods are back there.
